Time flies when you're trying to avoid noticing

Okay so it's been almost 3 weeks now!? Jeez, time does fly, doesn't it? Lots of craziness has ensued.

* Halloween and trick or treating

* Zoo trip with a dear friend who is leaving the area

* Daddy came home! Joyful celebration ensued

* Presidential election! Even if the votes did not go your way, I think that we can all agree that the time has come to get together and support our new president as he tries to undo some of the current craziness.

* Babysitter + good friends + Crabtown + Otis Watkins + Dark & stormy night + Boulevard unfiltered wheat beer = awesome mid-week date night

* Welcome home party

* PTA book fair

* Family reading night at the book fair

* work!

* sleep!

* shopping!

* school!

Most of my posts are angst-related rants, so please bear with me as I enjoy a few weeks of happiness. I'm sure I'll get back on the righteous indignation bandwagon sometime soon. In the meantime, pick a topic & talk amongst yourselves. Here are the lyrics to Coldplay's "Yellow" for you to read and enjoy (what a beautiful love song):

Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
Yeah, they were all yellow.
I came along,
I wrote a song for you,
And all the things you do,
And it was called yellow.
So then I took my turn,
Oh what a thing to have done,
And it was all yellow.
Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones,
Turn into something beautiful,
You know, you know I love you so,
You know I love you so.
I swam across,
I jumped across for you,
Oh what a thing to do.
Cos you were all yellow,
I drew a line,
I drew a line for you,
Oh what a thing to do,
And it was all yellow.
Your skin,
Oh yeah your skin and bones,
Turn into something beautiful,
And you know for you,
Id bleed myself dry for you,
Id bleed myself dry.
Its true, look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine for,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine.
Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And all the things that you do.
