I Totally Did it Again...

At the mic in 2013. Not shown:
shaking knees & awesome boots.
... and not Oops I did it again because (a) that's been used and (2) I totally meant to do it again. I am a grown up lady and I am not in the habit of "Oopsing," people.

"Do what again?"  Why, submit a story for Listen To Your Mother, of course.

"What is this Listen to Your Mother of which you speak?" Dude (yes dude. I may be a grown up lady but some things you never outgrow), you should really brush up on my blog and see the previous posts I've written about being in the cast in 2013 and working with the cast in 2014. I recently submitted my audition to be considered for the 2015 cast. So, you know, *fingers crossed*!

Participating in Listen to Your Mother means so much to me. I know a long list of incredible women (and men!) who have taken the stage, and I'm humbled and thrilled to be in their company. It was a big step outside of my comfort zone, but when I stepped, I felt a rush of accomplishment. I had achieved this goal, put myself out there and I was accepted.

Listen to Your Mother is amazing. It is cathartic and inspiring and affirming and moving and for me—life changing. I'm so excited to have a chance to try to do it again (fingers crossed; in-person auditions are in March) and equally excited to tell you that you could be a part of this, too. Auditions are open until the end of February.

And if you're not in Oklahoma, there are cities all over the country—more this year than ever before—opportunities for you to share your story.

So what are you waiting for?

Find all the details on the Listen to Your Mother Oklahoma City page.
